Degree Programs
AIGS offers four main degree pathways:
(1) Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
It is a three-year program intended to prepare students for pastoral ministry, missionary service, and other forms of gospel ministry. Students in this program must complete at least 90 credits and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. However, students are generally recommended to complete more than the minimum, especially if they intend to pursue further studies.
(2) Master of Theology (Th.M.)
This is a two-year program for students who already possess a bachelor’s degree and an M.Div. or equivalent theological background. AIGS offers Th.M. study in Old Testament, New Testament, Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Practical Theology, and Missiology. The degree requires 30 credits, and Greek and Hebrew are prerequisites that do not count toward the degree credits.
(3) Integrated Th.M. + Ph.D.
This program is designed for academically strong students who hold a bachelor’s degree and M.Div. or equivalent. It is structured as a four-year course of study and is offered in Old Testament, New Testament, Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Practical Theology, and Missiology.
Students must complete at least 48 credits, meet language requirements, and pass a mid-program evaluation after the first two semesters in order to continue to the doctoral level.
(4) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
This is a three-year advanced research program for applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree, M.Div., and Th.M. or equivalent qualifications. It is offered in Old Testament, New Testament, Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Practical Theology, and Missiology. Students must complete at least 36 credits, fulfill language requirements, and complete dissertation and oral examination requirements.
Applicant Qualifications and English Proficiency Requirements
Applicants must meet the academic qualifications for their intended degree program. For the M.Div., applicants should have completed or expect to complete a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. For the Th.M. and the integrated Th.M. + Ph.D., applicants should have completed or expect to complete both a bachelor’s degree and an M.Div. For the Ph.D., applicants should have completed or expect to complete a bachelor’s degree, M.Div., and Th.M.
Applicants must also demonstrate English proficiency. AIGS requires one of the following minimum scores: TOEFL 530 (PBT, TOEFL 197 (CBT, TOEFL iBT 71+/4.0, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600 (New TEPS 327), or an equivalent recognized national English proficiency test issued within two years. Applicants from countries or institutions where English is the official language of instruction are exempt from this requirement. In such cases, the applicant must obtain an official letter from the bachelor’s degree-granting college or university certifying that English was the language of instruction and providing an assessment of the student’s English ability.

To remain eligible for the Academic Scholarship, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Students receiving the Work & Study Scholarship must apply for a 16-hour work-study assignment cach semester, and each student is responsible for securing his or her own Church Matching Fund.
Students are also responsible for paying the Registration Fee cach semester.+/
Admission Schedule & Selection Process
The application period for the Spring Semester of 2027 runs from August 15 to September 15, 2026. Original documents are valid only when they are received by the school within the designated deadline. Interviews are conducted after document screening, and admission decisions are announced in late November. The detailed admissions schedule remains subject to change.

The admissions process includes four major stages: online application, submission of original hard copy documents, Zoom interview, and notification of acceptance by email. Applicants must complete the online application during the official application period and upload scanned copies of all required materials for verification. Original documents must be mailed directly to the AIGS Admissions Office. Applications that are incomplete, late, or improperly documented will not be considered. The application system must be accessed by computer or laptop, and applicants should use one official email address that they regularly check throughout the admissions process.
