President's Greeting

Greetings in our LORD Jesus!
I’m so delighted to briefly share our school with you who are willingly preparing your advanced studies in theology with various academic degrees like Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Philosophy.

ACTS (Asian Center for Theological Studies and Mission) has constantly been honored as an outstanding academic and genuine mission-oriented theological institution ever since this international school was established in Seoul 1974 for reaching out the solemn vision of evangelization of Asia and the world. AIGS (ACTS International Graduate School), not only as the cornerstone of ACTS’s founding stage, but also now as the one of our seven graduate schools, has been wonderfully playing its sacred role for the last 47 years of history. Our present campus itself, beautifully surrounded by the fine river and mountain in Yang- pyoung, Kyunggi-do, located just forty to sixty minute distance from Seoul, gives us daily super fresh air and wind which possibly illuminate our body and soul with such nature friendly environmental blessings.

Without any doubt, AIGS has been renowned for its prestigious academic re- sources and missional practices in Korea and beyond; we want to keep going and contributing our international legacy of Christian higher education quality to serve and disclose the blessing and mystery of the gospel of Christ. Therefore, it is my joy and gratitude that AIGS has never ceased so far nurturing lots of gifted Korean and international students provided with a wide range of excellent scholarships and grants. Thankfully enough by this year, our LORD allows us to bear diverse fruits of 607 international alumni from 50 other countries, who’re now actively teaching and ministering in their own countries mainly in Asia and Africa.

What is then AIGS? AIGS is all about ‘theocentrism’ and ‘evangelicalism’ never losing its core value as our presuppositional and hermeneutic framework. More- over, AIGS opens our theological openness to embrace and share together with Christian protestant traditions of sound evangelical theology with a view to building up the interdenominational koinonia as one body of Christ on the solid basis of the Scriptures as the Word of God.

In this sense, I would like to warmly welcome you all who are eager for being well academically trained and spiritually equipped for your lives as today’s wit- nesses of Jesus such as pastors, missionaries, professors and other responsible Christians leaders. AIGS surely turns out to be an amazing place and community in which we students, staff, and faculty – get to work together in tasting one another ethnical and cultural diversity by increasing our brotherly/sisterly love and care in Christ. That is why I’m so confident that every member can be greatly enriched with this global fellowship and Christian leadership dynamically experienced within our AIGS community. May the hands and face of our LORD continue to keep you and shine upon you so as for you to accomplish the whole journey of your missional life now and ahead.

Let’s go and get more challenged for the beauty and glory of our triune Kingdom of God. Both AIGS and I are looking forward to seeing you face to face in Korea. near future!

Dean's Greeting

Shalom in Christ!

Welcome to ACTS University renowned for its missional legacy and global vision.

As the cornerstone of ACTS community, AIGS (ACTS University, International Graduate School) was established in 1974 to train Christian leaders from Asia and other nations for the evangelization of their own nations and beyond.

Our goal is to nurture and assist our students to build up Christian integrity, incorporating biblically sound theology into personal and ministerial life for the evangelization of the nations. We aim to produce Christ-minded servants with academic excellence and spiritual maturity, who would challenge and transform the world with the reality of the kingdom of God.

As an international community representing diverse nations from Asia, Africa, Americas, Europe, and the Middle East, AIGS offers an invaluable opportunity for students to interact among a variety of cultures and to understand the larger scope of God’s kingdom. Here, the students are nurtured through the dynamics of theological reflection, worship experience, community fellowship, and ministry outreach.

Our campus, with its nature’s surrounding and riverfront view, provides a wonderful environment for cultivating both academic and spiritual life. Moreover, spiritual retreats, academic forums, mission conferences, and cultural festivals are regularly scheduled to help enhance the students’ personal and social growth.

So I would like welcome you to our AIGS community as we endeavor to study and grow together as fellow servants in the kingdom of our Lord.
