Safety and Health Guidelines in Summer Vacation (Special Update on Ebola Outbreak)

https://aigs.acts.ac.kr/?kboard_content_redirect=3317

As the vacation begins, we would like to provide updated safety and health guidelines based on the latest announcements from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Korean government. In particular, due to the recent rapid spread of the Ebola virus in parts of Africa, quarantine and travel regulations have been significantly strengthened. Please read the instructions below carefully.

Pre-departure Preparation & Travel Restrictions
- Check Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Restrictions: The Korean government has issued a Level 4 Travel Ban (Strictly Prohibited) for Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) due to the Ebola outbreak. Do not visit these areas. Uganda also strongly recommends not to visit during this vacation.

Upon Returning to Korea (Quarantine Regulations)
- Mandatory Health Screening: If you are returning from Africa or Ebola-affected regions and experience symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, or bleeding, you must report it to the quarantine officer at the airport.
- Post-entry Symptoms: If any symptoms develop within the incubation period (up to 21 days) after entering Korea, do not visit a local clinic directly. Immediately call the KDCA hotline (1339) for guidance.
- On-time Return: Please check your visa status and return in time for the upcoming semester.

We wish you a safe, healthy, and restful vacation.

Thank you.

Speaker: Dr. Julius Kim, USA

Title: "PREACHING CHRIST FROM ALL THE SCRIPTURES: WHY?"

Because the Bible is one unified story pointing to Jesus from beginning to end. From the Law, the Prophets, to the Psalms… it all leads to Him. We don’t preach self-improvement or moralism; we preach Christ. Without Him, Scripture is just law; with Him, it is life and grace.

The Gospel isn't about our effort, but God’s finished work. Every sermon or study should lead us to Truth, Transformation, and Action.

Christ is our:
-Penalty payer
-Probation preserver
-Power provider
-Passion producer

This is the Gospel we need to preach every single day, through every scripture pointing out to him.

Notice on Prohibition of Illegal Employment and Identity Misuse for International Students

https://aigs.acts.ac.kr/?kboard_content_redirect=3301

🚨 Notice on Prohibition of Illegal Employment and Identity Misuse for International Students

Dear International Students,

Recently, the Korean government has strengthened enforcement against illegal employment involving foreign nationals, particularly in delivery services and identity misuse cases. We kindly ask all students to review carefully of the following guidelines to avoid any legal violations.

❗ Prohibited Activities

International students are strictly prohibited from engaging in the following types of employment:

Working as a delivery rider (e.g., Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, Coupang Eats, etc.)

Working as a courier or parcel delivery worker

Engaging in delivery-related work through agencies or platforms

These jobs fall under restricted employment categories and are not permitted under student visa regulations.

❗ Illegal Use of another Person’s Identity

Using another person’s name (e.g., a Korean national’s identity) to work as a delivery rider is a serious criminal offense

This constitutes both illegal employment and identity theft

⚠️ Penalties for Violations

Students found engaging in illegal employment may face:

Up to 3 years of imprisonment or a fine of up to 30 million KRW

Visa cancellation and deportation

Possible restrictions on future entry into Korea

⚠️ Employer Responsibility

Employers who knowingly hire international students for illegal work or permit identity misuse may also face:

Criminal penalties

Significant fines

📌 Important Reminder

The university strongly urges all students to comply with Korean immigration laws and employment regulations. Engaging in unauthorized work can result in serious legal consequences and may negatively impact your academic status and future opportunities.

If you have any questions regarding permitted employment or visa regulations, please contact the university office for guidance.

Thank you for your cooperation.
