Book Bank Opening Schedule for Fall Semester 2026 The AIGS Book Bank will open on the following days: September 3 (Thu): 13:00 – 17:00 September 18 (Tue): 10:00 – 12:00 / 13:00 – 18:00 Location: Library Building 3rd floor (reading room). Rental fee: 1,500₩ per book for the entire semester. NOTICE: 1. Prepare your cash in advance (preferably in smaller bills/coins). 2. Complete the required form and submit the payment in cash to the Book Bank manager. 3. As we are now sharing a public space within the library, please maintain a quiet atmosphere throughout the process. *The penalty fee of loss and damage will follow the "AIGS Book Form" at the end of the semester. *If you fail to submit your documents within the deadline, you must apply for the Alien Registration Card (ARC) by yourself. 4. Please note that applications will not be accepted outside the designated submission period. Among the students applying for a visa extension through the university, those residing in the dormitory do not need to prepare the additional document issued by the AIGS Office. Checking Chapel Score Spring 2026

AIGS students should check one's chapel score at ACTS-in. If he/she has any objection, email to AIGS office (eastsung@acts.ac.kr) as following form until July 13th, 2026. It will be revised after reviewing the objection. If you fail to provide a clarification or do not receive a chapel grade for no specific reason, you will be subject to various penalties such as no graduation and suspension of scholarships. We would like to inform you of the grade review period and the grade appeal submission period for the Spring Semester of 2026 1. Grade Review and Appeal/Correction Period: July. 6 (Mon) – 13 (Mon), 2026 ▶ Grades can be viewed on the {Current Semester Grades} page in the Integrated Information System. ▶ Grades will be available only after completing the course evaluations. 2. Grade Appeal Form (attached) must be submitted directly to the professor of the respective course. ① Eligible Applicants (1) Students who received a grade of C0 or below (2) Students who did not receive a grade due to failure to submit a report ② Procedure (1) Fill out the Grade Appeal Form and submit it to the professor (2) The professor fills out the Grade Correction Request and submits it to the Academic Affairs Office ③ Others (1) Grades cannot be changed if the student exceeded 1/4 of the total absences (2) A reason must be clearly stated when requesting a grade correction 3. We inform you that the schedules and the details of CE (Comprehensive Examination) for Spring 2026 are as follows 1.CE (Comprehensive Examination) 1) Applicant: ① Ph.D. (Those who have completed at least four semesters and earn at least 24 credits) ② Th.M.+Ph.D. (Those who have completed at six semesters and earn at least 36 credits) ※ You can apply for the C.E. exam regardless of whether you are taking a second language(German). However, you must take a second language (German) before you graduate. 2) Examine Range: 4 Majors + 1 Elective (5 subjects) 3) Pass Score: 70 or higher / 100 (for each subject). Safety and Health Guidelines in Summer Vacation (Special Update on Ebola Outbreak)

As the vacation begins, we would like to provide updated safety and health guidelines based on the latest announcements from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Korean government. In particular, due to the recent rapid spread of the Ebola virus in parts of Africa, quarantine and travel regulations have been significantly strengthened. Please read the instructions below carefully.

Pre-departure Preparation & Travel Restrictions - Check Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Restrictions: The Korean government has issued a Level 4 Travel Ban (Strictly Prohibited) for Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) due to the Ebola outbreak. Do not visit these areas. Uganda also strongly recommends not to visit during this vacation.

Upon Returning to Korea (Quarantine Regulations) - Mandatory Health Screening: If you are returning from Africa or Ebola-affected regions and experience symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, or bleeding, you must report it to the quarantine officer at the airport. - Post-entry Symptoms: If any symptoms develop within the incubation period (up to 21 days) after entering Korea, do not visit a local clinic directly. Immediately call the KDCA hotline (1339) for guidance. - On-time Return: Please check your visa status and return in time for the upcoming semester.

Recently, the Ebola virus has become a trend in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides the following information, so please refer to it. If you are going to visit your hometown during the upcoming vacation, please refer to the information below to protect everyone's health. ▪ Observe personal hygiene rules such as hand washing (hand wash with soap or hand sanitizer with alcohol disinfectant) ▪ Don't touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands ▪ Avoid direct or indirect contact with sick people, wear a mask when contacting them, and follow infection prevention rules thoroughly ▪ Refrain from visiting crowded places as much as possible (if unavoidable, wear a mask and comply with infection prevention rules) ▪ If you cough or sneeze, use your sleeves and apply hand hygiene after coughing or sneezing ▪ Submit Q-CODE (or Health Questionnaire) to the quarantine officer if symptoms are present upon arrival ▪ If you have suspected symptoms such as fever, loss of appetite, helplessness, rash, weakness, muscle pain, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, bruises or bleeding of unknown reason within the incubation period (21 days) after returning home, contact 1339 or the public health center for guidance

We celebrated not only the retirement of Professor Han Young Lee, but also the countless lives he has touched through his wisdom, kindness, and dedication.

We sincerely wish you a joyful and blessed retirement filled with peace, happiness, and new adventures ahead.

On May 21st, a retirement service for Professor Lee Han-young was held during the Thursday Chapel service. During the program, Professor Lee delivered a valuable message titled "The Essence of Theology." In his sermon, Professor Lee conveyed that "theology is not a 'discipline for understanding,' but a path that enables us to live in trust in God." Additionally, AIGS students performed a special song, student Diana gave a farewell address, and Rev. Lim Chae-young of West Holiness Church and Dr. Paul Changha Lim of the University of Florida offered congratulatory remarks. Rev. Lee Jang-ho, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, administered the benediction.

Professor Lee was appointed as a Professor of Old Testament Studies at our university in September 2000 and taught Old Testament-related courses across the undergraduate, general, and theological schools, as well as the Institute for Advanced Studies (AIGS), for the past 26 years. He also made significant contributions to school administration and student guidance. In particular, he helped international students at the Institute of International Education (AIGS) adapt to the new environment in Korea, and supported students facing financial difficulties as well as psychological and mental challenges by providing personal sponsorship and close counseling so they could focus on their studies. Furthermore, through active external activities, he identified sponsors and provided financial support, significantly contributing to international students successfully completing their studies and returning to their home countries.
