Information on visa extensions and new student alien registration card issuance

Eligibility

1. AIGS current and new students : D-2 visa holders

2. Document Submission Period

① Current Students : Feb. 12nd (Thur.) – Feb. 13rd (Fri.) : 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

② New Students : Mar. 11st (Wed.) – Mar. 12nd (Thur.) :10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 13:00 PM – 15:00 PM

   *If you fail to submit your documents within the deadline, you must apply for the Alien Registration Card (ARC) by yourself.

3. Required Documents

* Please carefully review the attached file before preparing your documents.

* All documents must be fully completed.

* Applications with missing documents will not be accepted.

4. Processing Time for ARC

* The issuance of the Alien Registration Card usually takes about 4 weeks

* You may receive it faster if you apply by yourself.

5. ARC Application Process (For New Students)

① Fingerprint Registration : The fingerprint registration date will be announced by the office once it is scheduled by the immigration office.

② ARC Issuance : You can receive your Alien Registration Card approximately one month after fingerprint registration

6 : National Health Insurance

After completing the alien registration process, you will receive a notice for National Health Insurance enrollment. Please follow the instructions in the notice to complete your enrollment.

Health insurance enrollment is mandatory for international students.
